She is a fourth year Retail Management student whom has been heavily involved in day to day operations of groups such as the RSA and the Ryerson Commerce Society. Janet is a third year Business Management student studying Global Management and minoring in Marketing. She is a results-driven, team-oriented individual with past experience in event planning, event management and promotion through marketing.Apart from the Events Committee she is the Vice President of Marketing and Recruitment for Deca Ryerson and is an Event Logistics Coordinator for a not-for-profit organization, The Awesome Toronto Foundation.

Stefania is a 5th year Law and Business Student as well as the President of the Law and Business Students' Association. Apart from LBSA and the Events Committee, she is also involved with Deca and has recently successfully competed in the International Career Development Conference. Stefania is passionate about the legal field of business and her would like to pursue her passions in this field upon graduation.

Amir is a fourth FInance Major with a Marketing minor. He is responsible for the various artistic renditions and graphics you see here and will be exposed to while at this great event. He has been involved with the Ryerson Commerce Society since first year, and has held various board positions meanwhile. Dedication and consistent quality is what he is known for. The Ryerson Commerce Society is the enacted student organization representing the over 8000 " " undergraduate business students at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Our not for profit organization works to better the lives of students through addressing three keys pillars; Academic, Professional & Social. Our organization works in close relations to the faculty and administration to elude a unified driven yet focused image to external entities, including corporate sponsors, the media, and other undergraduate programs in Canada!

However, we encourage attendees to find out about the experience of others before them first hand, through direct interaction with current students whom are active on our facebook page!

What is Commerce Frosh anyways?

Commerce Frosh is commonly confused with Orientation Week. Orientation Week is a separate event from Commerce Frosh. The Orientation Week is hosted by Ryerson and is for ALL students and Commerce Frosh is hosted by the Ryerson Commerce Society (RCS), strictly for Commerce students (anyone in the Retail, ITM, Hospitality and Business Management programs). Commerce Frosh Week first RCS event of the school year and is also one of the biggest! Commerce Frosh is a FOUR DAY fun and interactive experience that takes place the week before classes begin. You get the opportunity to meet over 400 new commerce students, expand your networks by meeting 130 upper year students who will be your Leaders and Organizers for the week and have a blast though a combination of teamwork and social events. Commerce Frosh is an unforgettable experience which many students will remember for the rest of their lives. The friendships that are built, the activities that are shared, and the bonding of a new class is formed all before you all hit the classrooms!

What happens DURING that week?

Commerce Frosh is a four day experience highlighting the best that the Ted Rogers School of Management and the city of Toronto has to offer. Events in the past have included a Charity Challenge, our Annual Cross-City Scavenger Hunt, an attempt at breaking a Guinness World record, a Jays Baseball Game at the Rogers Center, a luxury Finale Boat Cruise, and much, much more!

When is Commerce Frosh 2012?

Commerce Frosh 2012 will take place TUESDAY, AUGUST 28TH – FRIDAY, AUGUST 31ST, 2012 in the Ted Rogers School of Management building at Bay St. and Dundas St. in Downtown Toronto. Save the date!

Will it interfere with Academic Orientations?

No, Commerce Frosh will start shortly after all your academic orientation sessions so you won't miss out on them.

Why should I join Commerce Frosh 2012?

Simple - you are entering the management field and you know the value of meeting new people! Through a number of carefully planned events you get to expand your comfort zone by trying new things and meeting new people. Your Leaders and Organizers are also Ted Rogers School of Management students that have been in your shoes before and are now ready to show you the ropes. These people will act as mentors and help you adjust to a new environment and the university setting. Plus, a number of them are already involved in many different student groups/organizations on campus! We urge you to take part in this event and get involved with your new school community as soon as possible!
